| What is possible? Do you feel like you're being held back by your surroundings or circumstances? Do you just feel overwhelmed by it all? Clearing the clutter & building an organizational system that works for your lifestyle can be done. Sometimes it just takes an objective third party to get you on your way. Take a look at the before & after pictures above. This recent project came as the result of a client moving her washer & dryer upstairs & out of the basement. By so doing, she was forced to give up a precious linen closet inside her bathroom. To solve the problem, first we removed everything from the utility pantry adjacent to the bathroom. Items were categorized & then we really evaluated what items needed to be close at hand at all times & what could be stored elsewhere. And no, I didn't just make her throw it all away! She had many duplicate cleaning products (always in search of the perfect cleanser!). Those that hadn't expired were separated into two cleaning buckets - one for upstairs & one for down - & stored in another pantry & closet. Then all of the remaining products were corralled into pretty containers by category for easy access. My client had many of the containers already (how many containers have you purchased, convinced it was the cure-all to your organizational woes??). We did purchase an inexpensive roll of decorative paper to adhere to the shelves for a clean, fresh look & a handful of plastic tubs & crates that were better suited for odd shaped items.
